How old do you have to be to get into boxing and how?

I want to box but I’m 13 so am I old enough to go to like a boxing gym or are there classes or something?

there’s no starting age buddy. i think Mayweather’s dad started training him since he was like 3-4 years old.

you can go into a boxing gym, and there will be a trainer who will teach you the basics, the techniques, offense, defense, as well as train your conditioning (abs, legs, push ups, pull ups). and then once you’re ready, you can start to spar with guys, try to utilize the techniques you’ve learned.

if you get better, you can start training for amateur fights, start doing roadwork every morning, hard training, maybe some weights (after you’ve hit 16) and then go for ur fights.

you’ll be alright man, just go to a good gym, and talk to the people there.

A friend and me want to take boxing classes, we’re 16 and 17, and i want to know if anyone out there knows a good gym that gives good classes, Not to expensive but any help will do.

Try local Bally gym.

I’m 14, 5’3" and 120 pounds. If I do kick boxing (+gym class and an okay diet) can I lose 10-15 pounds?

Once or twice a week probably 45-60 minute sessions for a couple months.
Gym class is 45 minutes and we run for 10, lift small weights, etc.
(I’ll be consuming about 1400 calories)
-Will I not be able to hit 110 pounds because of muscle gain?
-Will most of my fat be gone?.. causing me to look bulky? Or just fit?
-AND last question;
will it be easier to maintain that weight with the muscles because the muscles continue to burn more calories? (I’m asking if it will be easier to maintain than to actually get there or vice versa)

Yes. You can loose weight by doing exercise such as boxing. Please also do jogging early morning for one hour daily without fail.
