Why do all boxing gyms only do lessons nowadays?

I live in Toronto and all the boxing gyms only do classes. The classes run for hundreds of dollars. How come there aren’t any boxing gyms that you can just go in and train? Is this the same way in America?

PS if you know any gyms in Toronto that you can just go in & train plz tell me.

Go to boxinggyms.com You may have to cross over the border to train. Good luck.

I just joined a gym to get started in mma and ufc and I want to know what classes to take?

The gym offers muay thai jiu jitsu and boxing and kickboxing. Which of these classes should I start with tolearn about mma and ufc?

I would take a week of each one if I was a beginner and pick the one that I enjoy the best. Mixing the arts too soon will confuse you so try them all out and then stick with one for at least a year or so.

UFC and MMA are not martial arts by the way. UFC is a promotional event that showcases fighters who compete in the sport of MMA. Good luck.

Good Boxing gyms in the Los Angeles area? Also another question on Wild Card gym//?

Looking for notable boxing gyms (boxing only no mma) in the Los Angeles area preferably in the 818/661 area. Currently id love to go to the Wild Card gym in hollywood but does anyone know if they offer classes or how it works? I know its 5 dollars a day to work out there but do you work out on your own? How much do they charge to train you???

Rene,
At Freddy Roach’s Wild Card Gym, located at 1123 Vine Street above the Laundromat there are a host of trainers that will work with you, one notable guy there is Macka Foley , great guy! All of the trainers there charge FOR their expertise and it’s well Worth the money. My advice to you is go there for a couple of days and see which trainer catches your eye and then go up and start a conversation with him/her. There’s not a trainer out there that won’t talk to you.

Where can I find a good boxing gym in Toronto?

Hey, I’m looking for a good boxing gym for a twenty-year old guy. I’m looking for an actual boxing gym, not a place that only offers classes in aerobic boxing (though if the boxing gym does aerobic boxing as part of a schedule to keep in shape, I have no problem with that.) I’m also not looking for a gym that is going to just take the money and teach garabe, no mcdojos basically. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

the gym i went to was called Xtreme Couture. it’s a gym that offers many activities which include boxing (so it doesn’t specialize in just boxing). it has a boxing ring, as well as many boxing bags so you can do leisure boxing or actual fighting boxing. they have boxing classes there too. the gym itself also offers muay thai, kickboxing, wrestling and jijitsu. it also has crossfitness training, and many machines to just work out on. AND it also offers dance classes, yoga, kettlebell, etc
membership is $84/each month. i’m not sure but i think they’re doing a special promotion now. in your membership, you get to do ANY activity/lesson you want. each lesson has a personal trainer/coach.

i definitely recommend you trying it out. it offers a 14 day free trial. i just finished my free trial :) the staff there are friendly and informative.

it’s located on the west end of toronto. so in Etobicoke, Queensway/Kipling Ave

how much do most MMA gyms charge for classes like BJJ and boxing ?

is it pay like so much a month and do all the classes you want or pay for each class
i want to join Nate Marquardt’s gym

This is a question you should ask the owner of the MMA gym you’re interested in. There are a lot of MMA gyms and they all charge differently.

Is it ok for an inexperienced girl to sign up for boxing? Im 14 going on 15 btw?
