Depends, how much weight you gain or lose from boxing.

Here are the weight classes which you would most likely be in.This is all USA Boxing amateur weight classes, it's different from pro weight classes.
Lightweight-132lbs
Light Welterweight-141lbs
Welterweight-152lbs

Pro weight classes:
lightweight-135lbs
Light Welterweight-140lbs
Welterweight-147lbs
Jr Middleweight-154lbs

That should be within your range. You will most likely be losing 5-10 lbs to make weight.
References :
USA Boxing.

Depends if you weigh 151 at the end of the day or in the morning, after a visit to the restroom, before eating anything, and without clothes. Clothes, shoes, wallet, keys, as well as food in your stomach, can add up anywhere from 5-10 lbs, so be sure to weigh yourself properly to find out what you really weigh. I usually weigh 148, but I can make weight at 140 when I need to, and it's not terribly hard for me. Many pro boxers re-hydrate 8-13 lbs. from their weigh in time to the fight time, but this is usually 30 hours before a big pro fight, so they have ample time to re-hydrate. Smaller pro fights and amateur fights weigh in the day of the match, so rehydration might only be 3-6 lbs. Here are weight classes you might be in depending on what you want to try:
140-light-welterweight
147-welterweight (148 amateur)
154-light-middleweight (156 amateur). Most amateur and early pro light-middleweights weigh at least 160 in the ring and closer to 165-170 between fights. If your normal "walking around" lazy weight is 150, and you're less than 5'9", you'd be better off trying to get to 140, and enter the ring at 145, or weigh in at 147, and enter the ring at 152. Shane Mosley is a perfect example of a modern professional welterweight. He will make weight at 147 on the nose, and enter the ring the following night at 160 lbs. If Shane were an amateur he wouldn't be able to make weight as a welter because he'd be too weak to fight the same day after losing all that weight by dehydrating himself, but he'd be a light-middleweight, and still go in the ring at 160. Best wishes to you sir.
References :
Either a Welterweight (147) or a Super Welterweight (154).. After training you'd probably go Welterweight.
