I am 14 and currently 126 pounds 5 foot 7 inches. I Would love to have a successful season in boxing and was wondering how much weight I should cut for boxing. I am only about 9% body fat so the most I could drop is only 12-10 pounds but any tips would be helpful.

here are the weight classes for boxing if that helps you.

Hi,
I have a bit of experience in boxing but I am just wondering where is the best place to start to box in Perth WA. I want to learn the skills of boxing not just a fitness class and if I am good enough at boxing I might want to compete. Where is a good place to start for beginners?

I don’t have specific answer for you but here is a list of boxing gyms in the state of Washington…

http://www.boxinggyms.com/addresses/washington.htm

Here is another link on boxing in Washington, that has a link of boxing clubs…

Check out Bradack’s Gym in Perth that advertises that they teach all ages.

I just want some information on any good boxing classes or gyms that are good or low priced. Is there any in middle village or close to Bayside High school? Also are there any that have classes or training programs after 6 or 7 pm on weekdays? Or are there any on weekends? (weekends can be anytime). I just want to enroll my son in a class, he is 14 but we are having trouble finding close gyms.

LOL@ Bayside High, shout out to Zack Morris and Mr. Belding.. sorry read Bayside High and couldn’t help myself

Why do feminist ogranizations block boys from girls’ centers yet demand boy’s centers allow girls in?

This is just ridiculous!

http://www.genderacrossborders.com/2009/08/26/girls-rock-n-roll-no-boys-allowed/

THe thing is boy’s clubs in my city have lost government funding because they don’t let girls in and these are things like boys boxing clubs, sport centers etc… even i nthe media I see in the UK boys centers losing funding because girls are coming in but not one girls/women’s center loses funding. but there are ALREADY plenty of these centers which are girls only in my city too. But they get funding already. WTF is this hypocritical garbage!

BOTH sexes must be allowed into everything, blocking on basis of sex is wrong no matter. But do feminists constantly defend centers which block boys? What is their motive? Are Men trying to shut girls centers down.

Lool at Girls Inc or SMART, blocking boys and that’s a big organization. I would not mind if there was the same for boys but there isn’t. But if MRA’s set up Boys Inc. and it was only for boys feminists would class that as sexist while they block boys from girls inc.

Because to feminists anything that’s all male is sexist, "patriarchal", and need to be shut down; however "girls only" is a sign of "equality" and empowerment. They are hypocrites and female supremacists.

how to cheaply post a parcel from usa to uk?

im going to the states in october and would like to post back some items so as not to use up my luggage allowance. its nothing that cant be posted, just sodas, small foods etc (which i do buy from importers already over here, so no replies on that line of thought thanks, just can get a little expensive)

looking at us websites, and even at the usps, for a 12×12 inch box, up to 20 pounds its looking at $53.15 priority and for normal first class up to 4 pounds its $30.

now im not bothered if it takes a month to arrive, but if anyone is familiar with anyway of doing this it would be helpful, and if so how to go about it.

p.s ill be travelling on the west coast area, visiting many places so will probably pass through many towns with post offices, if this helps.

Thanks in advance

well if its for a holiday then the best way is to take it back with you when you go back, my freind went to the states the other month and brought everyone back american sweets and soda just as u want to do. i have read the luggage alowance bit, but there isnt really another way thats cheap.

Kick-boxing anyone …?

I was thinking of signing up for kick boxing classes and wanted to know what the benifets of kickboxing ? and also im kind of well im really overweight and was wondering if I should lose a liitle bit of weight first before I sign up for the kickboxing classes ?

In my opinion, one needs to be in tip-top condition before starting to take kickboxing classes. If overweight, one has to shed some extra pounds and must first build-up the needed stamina in training before that. Some benefits you will gain from your kickboxing skills will be for your self defense especially against boxer boyfriends like Floyd Mayweather Jr who boxes, kicks and twists the arms of girlfriends. With your skills, you can counter them using a hard kick to his groin and ass before delivering a a big blow to his face.

It’s no longer just the scourge of the lower classes.
They come out to feed when you’re fast asleep. They inject you with a substance that numbs so you don’t feel them feasting upon your blood. There could be hundreds of them in your mattress, box spring, bed frame, carpet, or furniture.

Sleep well tonight.
…………….

my mom used to say sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bite, I thought it was a joke. I guess I was wrong!

What weight class would I be in for MMA and/or boxing?

I’m 5’10” and 155-160lbs. I’m having a debate w/ some friends as to what weight class to enter for competition. I’m not sure where I would fit or if the MMA weight class would be any different than a boxing weight class?

Well most boxers walk around at their exact weights well MMA fighter usually cut down 10-20 lbs sometimes more.

In MMA I could see you fighting at featherweight or if you put on some serious muscle mass you could be a lightweight.

In boxing I you will probably be either a super welterweight or a junior middleweight depending on what boxing association you compete for.

Should I stop my kick boxing class and enrol in full boxing class?

I think I cannot handle the full kicks as I have thin legs, is shifting to boxing a good idea instead of kick boxing?

Stick with it for a couple of months, or talk first to your instructor and tell him your concerns. If I’m the instructor, i would watch over my new students esp. the kicking part, as they are students who CAN REALLY kick , and that could cause knee injury to the newbie. If the instructor is not concerned with you or to the new students, then look for another school, but continue with KB.
