I’m a junior in high school
will graduate with honors at around a 3.3-3.5 GPA
26 ACT
top 81st percentile for the SAT
in the top 20% of my class
in the ultimate frisbee club
muay thai for 3 years
amateur boxing for 2 years (2-1 record)
eagle scout
do some volunteer work at an ER by my house

what type of school can i get in to?

Nowadays there’s absolutely no way to tell. It has gotten so competitive I’ve seen literally geniuses get deferred. There’s really no definitive answer because I’ve also seen some of the dumbest people get in very good schools. You still have to write your essay which, if quite exceptional, can help a great deal.

if i take up boxing classes do i have to learn with children in the class?

i am 25 years old and thinking about taking up boxing..if i would go to the gym would i have to start boxing from the very begining like be in a class with 5 year olds or something like that?

Not if you find the right gym…

I’m 26, and just started boxing. There’s a gym near me (Third Power Fitness in DC) that offers what they call a "boxing camp." Two classes a week for 4 weeks, teaches you all of the basic punches, defenses, and techniques. Then we did combination work, and refined some of what we were doing. The first two weeks were just shadowboxing, the last two weeks we put on gloves. There wasn’t any real physical contact, just pad work. It was a great way to figure out what I was doing. There were about 20 people in the class, from 18-40 years old. Most of the people were my age.

Just call around and find somewhere that offers what you want. With the popularity of MMA, lost of martial arts studios are now bringing in boxing teachers to so that their martial arts students can learn it. Call around and find something that works for you. I’d suggest against going to a Golds or 24hr Fitness or some big club. Find a boxing gym where they specialize.

Benefits of boxing training?

I’m going to start boxing, and want to know what the benefits are. I’m also going to go to a MMA class once a week as well, is it a good combination?

The most obvious benefit of boxing is the fact that you become a better boxer. Your punching, punch defense, footwork, head movement, and cardio get better as a result. If you’ve never done anything like it before, it will also have the added benefit of instilling confidence and a sense of sportsmanship.

I’m not sure what an "MMA class" will include, but since MMA develops skills that are outside the boxing base, it should make you better prepared if you have to defend yourself outside of the ring.

Posting cheap items sold on ebay?

I plan to start selling jewellery on ebay (in the UK and only sell to customers based here). Most items will be around 2 – 3 pounds each and I’ll be sending them 1st class large letter.
I have a letter box just outside my house which gets picked up at 5.45pm or the post office is about 20 minutes walk. Is it worth going to the post office and getting proof of postage? Are the post office happy to write out proof of purchase for lots of items?
Many thanks for your help.

The post office will supply receipts (you will need these for your accounts) and certificate of posting – sometimes done as marking house number and post code on receipt..Make sure all packages are secure with delivery address clearly marked on the front and return address on the back.I have no problems posting my goods and asking for receipts and cert. of posting
Unless you already have customers lined up, don’t bank on lots of sales particularly in the beginning

Fitness group class, 3 times a week, 1 hour hybrid class of resistance training, cardio and stretching?

Fitness group class, 3 times a week, 1 hour hybrid class of resistance training, cardio and stretching?
Fitness group class, 3 times a week, 1 hour hybrid class of resistance training, cardio and stretching?
How much would you pay for a unique hybrid class that is done in groups of 10 on 10 identical fully equipped stations. Each class would include planned
1. strength/resistance training working major muscle groups each class with various exciting exercises
2. high intense cardio before and after workout and in between some sets (running, jumps, burpees, cycling, boxing, kickboxing)
3. stretching
Each class would be challanging but resistance could be changed based on and set according to fitness level/condition of member.
Everybody would be entitled to work out three times a week for an hour in a fixed schedule.
So when signing up people have to choose the time slots they will work out. That will guarantee them a station for those workouts.

Is there a question here? In Russia, you would be beaten severely for such a mistake. I would not pay one dollar for such a class. Cardio and weight training should be performed separately as they are separate workouts. That is the only way to achieve optimum results. Only a fat loser would go to such a class.

Brazillian jui-jitsu works with ground skills kick boxing helps on striking skills ive roughed up a couple people but it was in self defense other than that if its not in self defense i can be charged with serious time cuz now my hands are considered "deadly weapons" which sux balls and is really gay

I have been practicing South Shaolin Kung-FU and Muay Thai Kick boxing for the past 13 years & I love it, and yeah anyone who has extensive training in combative martial arts, their hands can be considered deadly weapons.

I don’t want to just be taught,i wanna fight.

Some cities still have PAL (Police Athletic League) boxing. Call the cops and find out. They do a good job.

I found a Massachusetts PAL website – http://www.boxinghelp.com/massachusetts.html

Good luck!
